How to Install TradePilot in TradingView (Step-by-Step Guide)

What you need before starting

TradePilot runs as a Chrome extension and works inside TradingView. Before installing, make sure you have Google Chrome installed (or a Chromium-based browser like Brave or Edge) and a TradingView account — the free plan is fine.

Step 1: Install from the Chrome Web Store

Search for TradePilot in the Chrome Web Store or go directly to the extension page. Click 'Add to Chrome' and confirm the installation. The extension needs permission to run on tradingview.com — this is required to inject the AI panel into the TradingView UI.

After installation, you will see the TradePilot icon in your Chrome toolbar.

Step 2: Sign in or create a free account

Click the TradePilot extension icon and sign in. If you do not have an account, signing up is free — no credit card required. The free plan includes 1,000 credits every month.

After signing in, your credit balance will appear in the extension footer.

Step 3: Open a TradingView chart

Navigate to TradingView and open any chart. The TradePilot panel appears automatically on the right side of the TradingView UI — you do not need to click anything to activate it.

If the panel does not appear, refresh the page. If it still does not appear, make sure the extension is enabled in Chrome by clicking the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar and checking that TradePilot is toggled on.

Step 4: Generate your first Pine Script

In the TradePilot panel, select a generation type (Strategy or Indicator), choose a model (Orion for fast generation, Apex Pro for highest quality), and type your strategy description in the chat box.

A good first prompt: 'EMA 9/21 crossover strategy on the 1H chart, long only, 1.5% stop loss, 3% take profit.' Click Generate. TradePilot will write the complete Pine Script and show it in the panel.

Step 5: Inject into TradingView

Once the script appears, click the 'Add to Chart' or 'Inject' button. TradePilot will open the TradingView Pine Editor, paste the script in, and either compile it automatically or prompt you to click the Add to Chart button in TradingView.

If TradingView shows a compile error, click the Fix button in TradePilot. The error fixer reads the error and corrects the script in one click.
