Installation
Installing TradePilot.
Four steps, about two minutes, no prior experience with extensions assumed. Browser and Linux notes are further down, along with what to do when the panel does not show up.
Open the Chrome Web Store listing
TradePilot is a browser extension: a small add-on that runs inside your browser and adds a panel to TradingView. It is not a program you download and run, and nothing gets installed on your computer itself.
The button below opens the official listing, published by us.
Open the listingClick "Add to Chrome", then "Add extension"
A confirmation box appears listing what the extension can access. That box is the browser asking your permission, not an error. Click "Add extension".
On Brave, Edge, Opera, Arc and Vivaldi the button may read "Add to Brave", "Get" or "Add to Edge" instead. It is the same step.
Reload any TradingView tab you already had open
This is the step most people miss. A tab that was already open before you installed does not know the extension exists yet. Press F5, or Cmd+R on a Mac.
If you had no TradingView tab open, just open a chart normally and it will be there.
Open a TradingView chartSign in from the panel
The TradePilot panel appears on the right-hand side of the chart. Sign in with the same account you use on tradepilot.co.in and the panel connects on its own.
If you signed up with Google, use the same Google account. Two different accounts is the most common reason a panel keeps asking you to sign in.
Which browsers work
Anything built on Chromium works. That is most browsers, including several that do not obviously look like Chrome.
Works as-is. This is what the listing is built for.
Works. Brave installs Chrome Web Store extensions directly and the button reads "Add to Brave". If the store page refuses to load, lower Brave Shields for chromewebstore.google.com while you install, then raise it again.
Works, with one extra step. Open the Chrome Web Store in Edge and a banner appears saying "Allow extensions from other stores". Click Allow, then install as normal.
Works. Install the "Install Chrome Extensions" add-on from the Opera store first, after which the Chrome Web Store listing behaves normally.
Works as-is, straight from the Chrome Web Store, no extra steps.
Works as-is. Arc is built on Chromium and installs from the Chrome Web Store directly.
Not supported yet. Firefox uses a different extension format and TradePilot has not been ported to it. Use the web app at tradepilot.co.in/chat, which writes and edits Pine Script in any browser; you paste the result into TradingView yourself.
Not supported. Safari requires extensions to be repackaged and shipped through the Mac App Store. Use Chrome, Brave or Arc on the same Mac, or the web app.
Linux
Linux is fully supported. There is no separate Linux build and nothing to compile, because the extension lives inside the browser. If Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera or Vivaldi runs on your distribution, TradePilot runs.
Snap and Flatpak builds of Chromium work too, but they are sandboxed more tightly and are the one place we have seen an install quietly do nothing. If that happens, install the browser from your normal package manager (apt, dnf, pacman) or the vendor .deb/.rpm and try again.
Ungoogled Chromium cannot reach the Chrome Web Store at all, by design. You would need the chromium-web-store add-on first. This is the only Linux setup we would call genuinely awkward.
When it does not work
I installed it but there is no panel on my chart.+
Reload the TradingView tab. An already-open tab does not pick up a newly installed extension until it reloads. If it is still missing, open your browser menu, go to Extensions, and check TradePilot is switched on.
I do not see TradePilot in my extensions list at all.+
The install did not complete. Go back to the listing: if the button still reads "Add to Chrome" rather than "Remove from Chrome", it never installed. On a work or school computer an administrator policy may block extension installs, and that block is set by your IT department rather than by us.
The panel appears but keeps asking me to sign in.+
Open tradepilot.co.in in another tab, confirm you are signed in there, then reload the TradingView tab so the extension can pick the session up. If you signed up with Google, make sure it is the same Google account. Blocking third-party cookies for tradepilot.co.in will also cause this.
It worked yesterday and today it does not.+
Close the TradingView tab completely and open a new one, rather than reloading. Your browser updates extensions in the background, and a tab left open across an update can still be running the old code.
Do I need to keep the tradepilot.co.in tab open?+
No. Sign in once and the extension stays signed in on its own.
Is there a version that does not need an extension?+
Partly. The web app at tradepilot.co.in/chat writes, explains and fixes Pine Script in any browser. Controlling the chart, drawing levels, running an optimisation and loading scripts into the Pine editor all need the extension, because those happen inside TradingView itself.
None of this fixed it.+
